Google Unveils First Look at Pixel 9 Pro Amidst Series of Leaks


In an unexpected move, Google recently gave enthusiasts their first look at the Pixel 9 Pro following a series of leaks. While the official reveal for the standard Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL is slated for next month, keen eyes have already spotted all three models on Indonesia's Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) certification website.



According to a report from MySmartPrice, the IMDA listings show the standard Pixel 9 bearing the model number GUR25, the Pixel 9 Pro with model number GEC77, and the Pixel 9 Pro XL carrying the model number GZC4K. Although the listings don't divulge any detailed specifications, they confirm that these upcoming devices will support 5G, Bluetooth, NFC, and Wi-Fi connectivity.


Pixel 9 Series Specifications and Launch Event

Google has announced its next Made by Google hardware launch event will be on August 13. Expectations are high that the company will unveil four Pixel 9 smartphones during this event. This anticipation is fueled by a series of teaser videos promoting the upcoming phones, including brief glimpses of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. These models are confirmed for an India release on August 14.


Rumors suggest that both the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro will feature a 4,558mAh battery, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL is expected to come with a larger 4,942mAh battery. The standard Pixel 9 is rumored to have a 6.24-inch display, with the Pro model featuring a slightly larger 6.34-inch screen. All Pixel 9 models are expected to be powered by Google's Tensor G4 chip and will likely run on Android 14.


As the official launch date approaches, the tech community is buzzing with anticipation. Google's strategic teaser campaign and the recent leaks have only heightened the excitement surrounding the Pixel 9 series, promising a significant leap forward in smartphone technology and user experience.
