OnePlus has launched its latest smartphone, the OnePlus Nord 4, in India at the Summer Launch Event held on Tuesday. The new addition to the Nord series succeeds last year's OnePlus Nord 3, bringing significant upgrades including an AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and support for 100W SuperVOOC fast charging.

The OnePlus Nord 4 is available in three variants:
8GB RAM + 128GB storage: Rs. 29,999
8GB RAM + 256GB storage: Rs. 32,999
12GB RAM + 256GB storage: Rs. 35,999
The smartphone comes in three colors: Mercurial Silver, Oasis Green, and Obsidian Midnight. Pre-orders are open from July 20 to July 30 through the OnePlus online store, Amazon India, and other retail outlets. The open sale starts on August 2. For a limited time, the base variant can be purchased at a discounted price of Rs. 28,999 using bank offers. During open sales, it will be available for Rs. 27,999, inclusive of bank discounts.
Specifications
The dual-SIM (Nano) OnePlus Nord 4 runs on Android 14 with OxygenOS 14.1. It promises four years of software updates and two additional years of security updates. It features a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K (1,240x2,772 pixels) resolution, 450ppi pixel density, 20.1:9 aspect ratio, and a 93.50% screen-to-body ratio, supporting up to a 120Hz refresh rate.
Powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and an Adreno 732 GPU, the OnePlus Nord 4 is designed for high performance. It also boasts a TUV SUD Fluency 72 Month A rating for smooth operations over extended use and includes an X-axis linear motor for enhanced gaming experiences.
Camera and Features
The OnePlus Nord 4's dual rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA sensor with optical and electronic image stabilization and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a 112-degree field of view. For selfies and video calls, there is a 16-megapixel front camera. The rear camera supports 4K video recording at 30/60fps and 1080p at 60fps.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, NFC, QZSS, and a USB Type-C port. The handset also features an alert slider and dual stereo speakers with noise cancellation.
OnePlus has integrated several AI-based features such as AI Audio Summary for meeting transcriptions, AI Note Summary for email summarizations, AI Text Translate for translations, and AI Linkboost for enhanced connectivity.
Battery and Charging
The OnePlus Nord 4 is equipped with a 5,500mAh battery that supports 100W SuperVOOC fast charging. The battery is claimed to withstand more than 1,600 charging cycles and features the OnePlus Battery Health Engine technology, which optimizes charging after the phone reaches 80%. The battery can be charged from 1 to 100% in just 28 minutes. The device measures 162.6x75x8.0mm and weighs 199.5 grams.
