Bajaj Auto Launches Pulsar NS400Z, A High-Octane Blend of Power and Style

Bajaj Auto has unveiled the highly anticipated Pulsar NS400Z in India, introducing a thrilling addition to its robust lineup. Priced competitively at Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the NS400Z is set to captivate the hearts of bike enthusiasts across the nation. The launch marks a significant step above its sibling, the NS200, enriching Bajaj’s portfolio with more power and enhanced features.

Sporting the iconic NS design, the new Pulsar NS400Z does not shy away from its heritage. It showcases an aggressive front façade with an LED projector headlight and distinctive lightning bolt-shaped LED daytime running lights. The rear complements the front with its signature dual LED taillights, a staple in Pulsar models. The motorcycle comes in an array of striking colors: Glossy Racing Red, Brooklyn Black, Pearl Metallic White, and Pewter Grey, ensuring that it stands out in a crowd.

Under the hood, the NS400Z is powered by a robust 373 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, shared with the Dominar 400. This engine generates 39.4 bhp and 35 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip-and-assist clutch. The bike’s top speed peaks at an impressive 154 kmph, facilitated by cutting-edge ride-by-wire technology, setting it apart in its class.

The NS400Z is not just about power but also precision. It is equipped with a 43 mm USD fork finished in eye-catching gold and a preload-adjustable monoshock, balancing aesthetics with functionality. Braking is robust, courtesy of a 320 mm front disc with a 4-piston Grimeca axial calliper and a 230 mm rear disc. Weighing in at 174 kg with a fully fueled 12-litre tank, the bike offers a manageable seat height of 807 mm, making it accessible for a wide range of riders.

Technology features prominently in the NS400Z, which boasts a full-colour LCD screen with Bluetooth connectivity. Riders can enjoy a host of modern amenities such as digital displays for fuel gauge, tachometer, gear position, and speedometer. The square-shaped dot-matrix section allows for turn-by-turn navigation, while riders can control music and access a lap timer directly from the handlebar.

Further enhancing rider confidence, the NS400Z comes equipped with switchable traction control, ABS, and four ride modes: Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-road, making it a versatile choice for varying road conditions.

The NS400Z is priced about Rs 46,000 cheaper than the Dominar 400, providing substantial value for money. It enters the market as a formidable competitor against the likes of the Triumph Speed 400, TVS Apache RTR 310, and the Suzuki Gixxer 250.

Bookings for the motorcycle are now open with a nominal booking amount of Rs 5,000. For those eager to see the bike in action, Bajaj Auto has released a first look video of the Pulsar NS400Z from its launch, available on their official website and social media channels.

With its launch, the NS400Z is set to redefine performance parameters in its segment and strengthen Bajaj Auto’s presence in the competitive Indian motorcycle market.
